Sculpting with clay, stone, wood and other different materials, Ghazi Aana is considered one of the significant artists in the Syrian art scene. His long professional career has also included rich experience in media, press, directing and art criticism. In many of his artistic writings and interviews, he mentions a brief of his thoughts on sculpting, saying "In the presence of sculpture, there is an added time. Where for the sight; the eye is preoccupied with the pleasure of contemplation, whilst for the insight; an expanded extent and the ecstasy of the soul, until the vision transfigures"
