Sudie explains, "aerial views, the orderliness of classical architectural and cloud patterns fascinate me. In this work, I was concerned with the mingling of textures; the colors of the earth seen from an aerial viewpoint; the columns supporting the porches of classical architecture and clouds swirling over the earth and around those columns, diffusing them. The panorama of the landscape is interlaced with the clouds and columns. The broken twill weave establishes the pattern and the diagonal slashes create an ethereal ambience. All is enveloped in a rhythmical time warp."
