Art provides another way of storytelling. A means for revealing pieces of our lives
and thoughts. The "Reflecting on Heels Project" is an ongoing series in which I ask
both women and men to write down their thoughts and reactions to high heels,
“fashion's most provocative accessory”*. The phrases are then written upside
down and backwards on the bottom of the heels, visible and readable only when
reflected in a mirror. Through this project I have heard stories both humorous and
touching. Stories that start at the foot but reach to the heart.
