It started out as a fun and whimsical break from more intense art projects.
Be My Guest quickly evolved into a reflective look into my family’s food
traditions and personal values. Hospitality towards family, friends and
strangers, was considered a spiritual gift. A gift to be generously and
frequently offered. Guests could expect a home cooked meal attractively
served. Setting the table started with an ironed tablecloth and napkins.
Then out came the china and glasses. No paper or plastic in sight.
Be My Guest will likely elicit a chuckle or two and maybe a moment of
reflection on what generous hospitality has meant in your life.
