The poetic form of this poem - no punctuation, no capitalization, no line or stanza breaks - is intentional and is inspired by the late work of poet W.S. Merwin. Language happens in our heads in blocks of words, without the tropes of writing and printing intervening. I have been using this form since 2017 with increasing pleasure and satisfaction. It invites the readier to spend more time than a quick once over, stopping, going back to repeat phrases, deciding where to pause, where to take a longer pause and ponder, what to emphasize.
