Modern Decay by Geoff Cunningham  Image: When I first cut this stencil, the working title was 'Modern Decay', though I have never used it on any of the previous iterations. Maybe it was the dripping sky and particularly dilapidated building in this version which seemed to me to be symbolic of our society's rapid decline into to ruin (wow that got heavy!).
This is a typical street scene that could be found in any town in Australia. When I took the original photo, I loved the repetition of the signage, leaving you in no doubt that this is indeed a laundrette!
