The internet has forever have changed the way we connect with people, no more more so than with the advent of online dating apps. The contrast of the glamorous retro image in combination with modern technology, explores how women now have far more control over their (love) lives than ever before, and no longer need to rely on men for financial support, or their parents to matchmake them with an "appropriate" partner.
'Love Me Tinder' was created using a combination of palette knife impasto and acrylic paint to create a textured, abstract background. This is then overlaid with spray paint utilising hand cut stencils. This is then finished with hand painted details.
