The Eye of the Storm 1

Some of my abstract images use distortion. In this image, I use distortion or abstraction to convey feelings and a particular mood, because I feel that often things can be expressed more successfully in forms that are personalised, rather than through the use of realism. Distortion is a change of a reality’s depiction. Through distortion, reality is changed into creativity.

CARE OF ENCAUSTIC PAINTINGS
This painting is completed using beeswax, image transfer, and shellac and should not be exposed to direct sunlight or other heat
sources which may damage the wax surface. It should also NOT be left in a car on a hot day. The surface can be gently “polished”
from time to time to restore the sheen to the surface using soft material like an old T Shirt or stocking.
