Since 2019, Gallery 110 has offered opportunities for emerging artists to compete for membership scholarships. To become more inclusive and equitable as an organization, we decided to again limit submission eligibility to artists identifying as Black, Indigenous, and people of color—who now make up over a third of our membership.
Although each of these ten finalist artists has work that merits a Gallery 110 scholarship, we do not have space for all. The final prize-winners will be awarded 18-month memberships with the same benefits and responsibilities as other members: a solo show, a Gallery 110 artist website page, and the opportunity to participate in gallery operations. We hope that their time as members of Gallery 110 will be a foundation on which to build a successful career.
There will also be a People’s Choice cash prize awarded by visitors during the exhibition’s first 24 hours.
The Gallery 110 Emerging Artist Program is supported by the Robert B. McMillen Foundation, Seattle City Office of Arts and Culture, and by personal donations from people like you. Thank you!
