Growing up between the U.S. and Mexico, my identity has always existed in the in-between a
space where cultures intersect but don’t always align. My work explores this duality, reflecting
both pride in my Mexican heritage and the tension of navigating spaces where I’ve felt like an
outsider. By also printing images onto corn husks, a material deeply rooted in Mexican
tradition, I connect my practice to heritage and memory, transforming an everyday object into
a surface for cultural reflection and remembrance.
