My perspective and viewpoint as an artist has always been filtered through my identity as a a mother, a daughter, a sister and a partner. Love struggle and transition are universal themes that arise in much of my work. "Ashland" is a love letter to my family home; a home where I raised my three sons, the place where two marriages ended and new relationships thrived. It is a place that holds my maternal DNA, a place that exists for me now in my art and my dreams.
