UNTITLED [ COASTAL LANDSCAPE ], c.1945 SIGNED ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING BY THE DANISH ARTIST AXEL PEDER JENSEN (1885-1972)

This wonderful coastal scene landscape painting was created by the Danish painter Axel Peder Jensen who is remembered above all for his landscapes which added new subjects and stronger coloring to earlier works by the Funen Painters. This work is an excellent example of the artist’s paintings from the early 1940s.

The medium is oil on canvas, measuring 25 x 36 inches (63.5 x 91.5 cm). Signed by the artist in the lower right corner: Axel P.J. The painting comes unframed.
