“SILENCE OF THE SNOW” VINTAGE IITTALA FINLAND ART GLASS CARD PAPERWEIGHT DESIGNED BY THE SCANDINAVIAN ARTIST HELJA LIUKKO SUNDSTROM (b.1938)

This wonderful vintage wedge shape art glass card paperweight titled “Silence of the Snow” was designed by the Scandinavian artist Helja Liukko Sundstrom for the Finnish glass factory Iittala.

These art glass cards by Sundstrom come in two sizes. This card is the larger size. The card measures 4 5/8 inches high by 5 3/4 inches wide. The base of the wedge measures 1 1/4 inch thick and narrows at the top to 1/2 inch. Signed on the right side with the artist’s script signature: Helja Liukko Sundstrom. Date created circa 1994. The card weights 2 pounds 6 ounces.
