This original vintage color serigraph exhibition poster, known as the “Bicycle” poster, was created by Robert Rauschenberg for the exhibition held at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. ( May 12 - September 2, 1991 ). The poster promotes the artist’s cause, the “Rauschenberg Overseas Culture Interchange”. It was published by Universal Limited Art Editions in an edition of 5000. Printed in the bottom left corner: Copyright: 1991 Robert Rauschenberg Universal Limited Art Editions, Inc. West Islip, NY.
The poster is printed in color on silver metallic foil paper, adhered on to a matboard backing. The poster full sheet size measures 26 3/8 x 39 1/4 inches ( 67 x 99.5 cm ).
NOTE: Since this poster is on a stiff matboard backing it will be shipped flat.
