“A CAFÉ, CAHORS”, 1911 SIGNED ORIGINAL LIMITED EDITION ETCHING BY THE BRITISH ARTIST, PAINTER, WATERCOLORIST AND PRINTMAKER SIR FRANK WILLIAM BRANGWYN R.A. (1867-1956)
This very scarce limited edition etching, titled “A Café, Cahors” depicting people outside a café in France, was created by Frank Brangwyn one of Britain’s most versatile and talented artists. The etching is signed in pencil by the artist in the margin below the image lower right: Frank Brangwyn. The artist etched the zink plate on the spot. Date created is 1911. The edition size of this etching is unknown. Brangwyn’s etchings rarely exceeded an edition of 100.

As originally found, the etching with trimmed margins is adhered completely to a board backing. The image size measures 8 x 9 7/8 inches, printed on wove paper, the sheet size and board backing measure 8 7/8 x 10 1/4 inches.
