Amore e Roma Artist's Book Limited Edition of 30
Gabrielle Senza's Amore e Roma, The Red Under the City of Rome is a limited edition artist's book featuring images and texts based on the artist's Seeing Red series of over two hundred red painted works on parchment started in 1997 while living in Rome.
Considered a visual journal of the artist's personal observations, impressions, experiences and recollections, the series touches on both common and taboo topics including love, trust, passion, pleasure, hate, incest, rape and death.
Amore e Roma is digitally printed on clear acetate pages interlaced with 80 lb cotton rag backing pages and 4-ply museum board for the covers. Each volume is bound by hand with red silk ribbons. Hand signed and numbered by the artist.
