This work is about symmetry, balance, and healing from breast cancer. Conceived as a pair or diptych with Internal Matter #1, Internal Matter #2 represents the strength in the right side of my body and how it supported the left during surgeries and procedures during breast cancer treatment. These vessels and my post-treatment body have a symmetry, balance, and beauty all their own.
