- Michele Wood
Painter and illustrator Michele Wood created three acrylic paintings from research gathered from the seniors to depict the vital role Auburn Avenue played in the history of Atlanta. The paintings, placed in the multipurpose room of the senior center, are unified both thematically and by the use of a quilt-like motif representing familiar memories, faith and community. The third painting depicts two members of the Auburn community making a quilt which features notable residents of the neighborhood.
