New Hope Visions is an interpretation of the celebration of life in Southwest Atlanta. Through a visual representation of figures in motion, the painting reflects the significance of family and community. Delsarte’s imagery incorporates community icons, including images of Turner Chapel AME Church, Niskey Lake, and neighborhood homes. The mural blends the past and present vibrantly by combining them into a colorful expressionist and figurative composition. This energetic and rich painting invigorates the Performance Theater’s lobby and, in turn, welcomes viewers into a place where performance truly flourishes. In addition to this painting, Delsarte was invited to participate in the building's design phase. He added enhancements to the architecture on the exterior of the building, including the patterns on the brick façade and the inclusion and layout of the colored concrete walkway. Both elements are meant to not only enliven the appearance of the building but to welcome guests into a space of creativity and artistry.
