Looking Forward, Looking Back
- Glass, laminate, silkscreen, metal frames, enamel & aircraft cable (10 Pieces)
- Deanna Sirlin & Phillip Auslander
As long-time residents of North Fulton and witnesses of the shifting environment, the husband and wife team of Deanna Sirlin and Philip Auslander were particularly suited for this North Fulton project. The artists, inspired in the changing landscape of their community, created a large-scale project that combines visual imagery, color and the written word. The project consists of 10 individual colored and etched glass panels with historic and current images of the area, suspended above the main hallways of the library. A poem by Auslander is etched into the glass doors that welcome visitors to the facility.
