MessageI'm a fine art photographer with a meditative practice -- making ephemeral, often mystical arrangements of the elements of nature. I call it 'Spirit of Place.' My process is a metaphor for navigating my life today. Against the backdrop of pandemic and social and political unrest, I explore the natural order...investigate and accept the disorder at hand...and attempt to create a new and meaningful re-ordering of things. It feels like hope.
I seek to surprise and stimulate. I want to show you something you haven't seen before. My photographs are in the permanent collections of museums (MOCA/Atlanta, Gregg Museum of Art/Raleigh) and private collections. And I'm proud to be co-founder of the largest community based photography festival in the US -- Atlanta Celebrates Photography. Choose your special place -- woods, shore or desert -- and take a walk with me..
