My name is Carlita Scarboro-Vazquez aka CVaz. My gifts include being a painter, designer, coder, educator and overall creative. As a graduate of Howard University with a BFA in Experimental Studio ART has always been my passion. From painting , sculpture to clothing design my creative spirit and talent are represented in all mediums. After Howard University I went on to gain a Master's in Organizational Management as well as my Master's in Early Childhood Education. Most recent art show at the Rialto Center for the Arts, Georgia State University. CREATE: A BLACK Girls tale.
STEAM education has always been a driving force for me in my career. As the world changes it is important that we are preparing our children to be competitive in these new global markets.
As an artist I use many different mediums, such as clay, acrylics, and pastels. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style. This same philosophy applies to education. My vision is to see the two worlds unite, art and science, to create a new and innovative way of helping our world by educating ourselves.
