Started as an abstract "loosening up" exercise in the studio, this small study developed as an imagined boulder in the ongoing Monolith Series. It mixes a totally intuitive color scheme with a composition and design structured from my work on the series.

The abstracted geometric shapes add color accents at the same time they tie the square composition together.
