Loch Raven Reservoir has a number of very scenic sites. This one is at just below the outflow from the dam flowing into the Big Gunpowder Falls. The fly fisherman here captured my attention on a crisp fall day. This painting is a quick study I did as an experiment and is my first with Cobra Water Mixable oils. Cobra are rapidly gaining popularity with Plein Painters as it eliminates the need to travel with solvents and deal with TSA restrictions and disposal issues. Simply thin and cleanup with water.
They handle a little bit differently, but I think I will be using these for future travel.
