While searching for reference images of a Great Horned Owl, I came across a striking photo of a Eurasian Eagle Owl. Native to Europe and parts of Asia, this species is one of the largest owls in the world—significantly larger than its American cousin. Captivated by its intense gaze and impressive stature, I chose to give it a more commanding presence in my drawing. Though it's not native to North America, its regal appearance made it an irresistible subject. This piece also happens to be my partner’s favorite drawing to date.
