ARTIST STATEMENT

Fleur recently completed an art residency with Cloudbough in Kandos, NSW (March 2022) and this series of abstract works is a response to her time spent in Wiradjuri Country.

Fleur hopes to convey new landscapes informed from an emotive response to the Peppermint and Ferntree Gully tracks and Capertee Valley. Each artwork considers the physicality of an emotive response, whether it’s a calming, feminine space or a rugged, mountainous environment and the relationships between experiencing a place and being immersed in a landscape.
