Some time ago, a group of lovely ladies came by my atelier for a painting afternoon — brushes everywhere. In the midst of it all, one of them, beaming, turned to the others and said, “I feel effervescent.”

Inspired by her words, that afternoon on my canvas, oranges and yellows understood what she meant. Effervescence.
