To portray identity, Wallace Harper utilizes mixed-media components such as photography, typography, geometric shapes, and marbling to create an abstract figurative self-portrait. It has a sense of symmetry and repetition due to the diagonal orange rectangles facing inward and reflecting each other, as well as the continuous marbling across the majority of the work. Each orange rectangle has lines of text printed on it that describe a person's characteristics.
