Self Portrait of Artist. Part of the Artine Artinian Collection of Florida Artists. Depicts a man in a black suit and tie, set against a gold background. An arrow passes horizontally through his head from temple to temple. The man has short reddish-brown hair and blue eyes. The names “Richard” and “Johnson” are written on either side of his shoulders, and “Walter” is written above his head. A small Masonic symbol is on the left lapel of his suit. The composition is centered and symmetrical, with a flat background and bold color contrast between the figure and surroundings.
