Many years ago I created the art for the Schulman Grove Visitor Center. It was my introduction to creating interpretive art, which eventually sustained me for 17 years. The Bristlecones and the Schulman Grove in the White Mountains remain very special to me. The ancient trees themselves are some of nature's finest sculptures, with their twisting, golden wood, hard as stone. It was a pleasure to take a day, walk among them, and paint.
