This fabulous boulder resides near the parking lot of the LeConte Memorial building in Yosemite Valley. How did it get there? Perhaps the glaciers carried it here and dumped it. Or, maybe it fell from the rock wall long ago. I have been watching it each season; the tree in front obscuring it in spring and summer, a multi-colored quilt of orange and yellow leaves by fall, and and a blanket of cool snow by winter.
