“Anniversary Gift”
2016 was the 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service. I have been a “parkie” all my life, and so was happy to be painting from Glacier Point, Yosemite on this day. Just as I was feeling success, a sudden and mighty gust of wind picked up my whole easel and threw the painting off like a frisbee. A fellow visitor just happened to catch it; a bit of oil paint on his hands, but the painting remained unharmed. He later purchased this piece!
