Heading Out: I was a musician and private poet when the mandala appeared from nowhere. I took it as a sign that I should abandon my academic pursuit of art history and somehow strike out as an artist, although just exactly how I was not sure. I considered musical composition but ended up pursuing architectural and interior design.
