MessageArt Exhibition for Josh Kight Opens September 3, 2021
at The Estrada Garcia Gallery
Georgetown, Texas Release Date: August 18, 2021 “For Immediate Release”
A new exhibition for Josh Kight opens September 3, 2021, at the Estrada Garcia Gallery, 823 S. Austin Ave, Georgetown, TX. The exhibition features a series of paintings on display until September 26, 2021
In the Exhibition ‘Quarantine Figures’, Josh Kight, the Artist and Poet, paints a straight line between art, poetry, and the human condition. The COVID pandemic has affected every human being on Earth. Kight creates a new category of “relevancy”, as he challenges our senses, provokes our thoughts, and motivates us to take action.
Josh Kight transferred acrylic medium and canvas into ideas, sensations and emotions in secession-like excitement bringing along the viewer. Kight paints what he feels, not what he sees: he paints the world dressed in ideas that are closest to his heart.
Josh Kight is an artist based in Austin, TX. He is a Professor of Contemporary Art at Austin Community College.
In 2019 he had a solo exhibition at the G-Spot Gallery in Houston, TX, and in 2021 exhibited at the Thirteenth Annual Juried show at the Archway Gallery in Dunlavy Houston, TX.
