A mixed media created in the late summer of 2024 inspired by the last of the seasonal blooms and patterns in nature. I feel especially drawn to the tall grass and cat tails bobbing in the breeze along the highways. I meditate on this often- our connection to our earth and her gardens that bloom and die away each summer.
I layered much of this in acrylic then created pattern in transparent papers and used various papers and books from the studio. She has little highlights of oil added to create more depth and pops of color.
