Erika works in printmaking and collage. Esoteric concepts drawn from study of nature & interrelated phenomena are significant unifying thread to all her work.
MessageIn essence, inspired by my visit to Taliesin West, Frank Lloyd Wright campus Arizona. The expression 'warp and weft' is used metaphorically as the way fabric equates to a person’s life, that is to "the fabric of a person’s life". Warp and weft is used similarly for the underlying structure upon which something is built, as in a person’s life experience that are woven together. 'Warp and weft' used more generally to describe the basic dichotomy of the world we live in, as in, up and down, over and across.
