I capture the unselfconscious relaxation of free roaming cats on an island, maybe off the coast of Greece. Feeling the freedom of cat, fish, fisherman, ocean and sky. I hope the viewer shares my feeling of peace near the sea on a hot day.

I started with a previously painted canvas which had lots of texture to hold the pastel then did a quick painting with acrylics. I added multiple layers of pastel to get depth of color I wanted and finished it with a little ink to get some fine lines.
