Born in Lima, Peru and inspired by its beauty, international artist Ana Balcazar frequently returns and creates jungle landscapes. Balcazar creates murals, drawings, paintings, and creates custom pieces. She creates both outdoor urban art and pieces for art exhibitions.
Balcazar originally came to Erie to visit family and has since had solo shows at Erie Center for Arts & Technology and the 1020 Collective. Balcazar’s work is exhibited in Europe, and North and South America. She won first place in ICPNA Street Art in Peru. She enjoys painting outside and spending time at gallery shows where she can talk with people about what she has created.
Balcazar's passion with both artwork and education has allowed her to pursue her career as a full-time artist. Earning her bachelor’s and master's degrees while studying in Peru, Balcazar also has experience in movies and cultural management.
