This painting reflects a sentiment of  bewilderment at the latest political actions and daily governmental shocks while also serving as a self-portrait of me having a massive aneurysm a couple years ago. I had spent a day foraging for chanterelles and out of the blue my brain hemorrhaged. I feel like the country is now experiencing the same. The good news is, with a lot of effort, I have mostly recovered and I harbor hope that our country will as well.
