🔥一つ目小僧 Hitotsume -kozo(a one-eyed goblin)
single-eyed Hitotsumekozo, which is feared in Kanagawa Prefecture as a Yokai that appears once a year to punish those who have committed bad deeds.
🔥猫又 Nekomata (fork-tailed cat yōkai)
kind of cat yōkai described in Japanese folklore, classical kaidan, essays, etc. There are two very different types: those that live in the mountains and domestic cats that have grown old and transformed into yōkai.
🔥ひょうすべ hyosube(Hitotsume -kozo (a one-eyed goblin)
It is a child-sized river monster from Kyūshū that lives in underwater caves. It prefers to come out at night and loves to eat eggplants.
🔥天狗 Tengu (long-nosed genie)
Type of legendary creature found in Shinto belief. They are considered a type of yōkai or gods or spirits
🔥ろくろ首 Rokurokubi(long-neck woman)
They look almost completely like humans with some differences. There is a type whose neck stretches and another whose head detaches and flies around freely .
🔥二口女 Futakuchi-onna (two-mouthed woman)
She is characterized by her two mouths – a normal one located on her face and a second one on the head beneath the hair. There, the woman's skull splits apart, forming lips, teeth and a tongue, creating an entirely functional second mouth.
🔥煙々羅 Enenra(smoke spirit)
Enenras mostly reside in bonfires; when they emerge, they take human shape or form. It is said that an enenra can only be seen by the pure of heart.
🔥子泣き爺 (Konaki-Jiji)Crying old man Konakijiji
The Konaki-jiji is said to be able to take the appearance of an old man or a baby. In either case, the spirit lures an unwary passerby towards it and allows him or her to pick it up. After the spirit is picked up, it suddenly becomes a heavy stone that crushes the victim to death.
🔥十二支獣 Jyunishi -jyu(Zodiac beast )
Twelve animals of the zodiac merged into one beast
which are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep , monkey, chicken, dog, and boar .
🔥天井すべり Tenjyo- suberi(Ceiling sliding)
A monster that suddenly appears from the ceiling in the middle of the night. An ugly, hairy monster with long hair that only scares people and does not cause any harm to others.
🔥座敷童 Zashikiwarashi
the beings have a red face, hair that hangs down, and aged from a minimum of around three years to a maximum of around 15 years.
They are said to be yokai that live in parlors or storage rooms, and that perform pranks, and that people who see one would be visited with good fortune.
🔥河童 Kappa(water demon)
They are typically depicted as green, human-like beings with webbed hands and feet and turtle-like carapaces on their backs
Kappa can become harmful when they are not respected as gods.
