In my painting ‘Lakeshore at Dusk’ I have tried to capture that magical moment at dusk when the birdsong has faded to silence and the night creatures have yet to stir, that fleeting feeling of being cradled between two worlds. The lakeshore seemed to me to be the perfect place to enjoy this moment of quiet enchantment, with shades of green glimmering across the glassy surface of the water as the Mallard makes his way home to roost.
