The concept behind this piece is that each of us possesses something special, a unique talent, which is closely connected to the idea of serendipity and can profoundly benefit our lives if harnessed effectively. In French, there's an expression, "you have gold in your hands," which is used when someone exhibits exceptional skill in a particular area. My painting aims to emphasize this concept. The portrayal of a black character is also a deliberate choice, inspired by recent social and political events. In France, right-wing extremism is sadly gaining momentum, often promoting negative stereotypes about immigrants. Through my artwork, I seek to support and stand with migrants (I am also one, as I immigrated permanently in the US), highlighting the fact that perhaps some of these migrants have "golden hands" that will contribute remarkable things to the future and society of France.
