Not surprisingly, the dormouse has always been my favorite Lewis Carroll character. In "Alice in Wonderland," he steals the show in the Mad Hatter Tea Party scene with his delightful and spontaneous silliness during naps, and his weird obsession with treacle. I feel he is a sympathetic character, because although everything in Wonderland is topsy turvy, in his defense, the poor little fellow is just trying to hibernate! Let the poor guy sleep!
