I collect and warehouse more antique tack than a person could ever need. This "habit" is what inspired me to start a bronze series entitled "Once Upon A Horse". My fascination with the workmanship of other artists that created bits, spurs and all types of embellishments for the horse and rider continues today. The special pieces in my collection often end up in bronze.

What do you do with a rock from Bisbee, AZ, a rusty twisted snaffle and a lump of clay? Well you turn them into a sculpture of course! Jumping the bit is that piece. The details are left for the viewer to define but, the essence of flying over the next obstacle is clear.
