As an avid collector of all things equestrian, have found myself with more antique tack than a person could ever need. This "habit" is what inspired me to start a bronze series entitled "Once Upon A Horse". My fascination with the workmanship of other artists that created bits, spurs and all types of embellishments for the horse and rider continues today. The special pieces in my collection often end up in bronze.

"Buermann Spur" is one of those pieces. The incorporation of the two antique spurs into the bust represents the long standing relationship between a cowboy and his horse.
