As she spun her finger in spirals, the water rippled in tandem, sparkling in the afternoon sun. The water offers welcome respite to the dry heat of August. A fig tree hangs over the river, it's roots weaving through earth and water.
"Threading Water" was born in this moment. A small oil painting depicting the scene in warm oranges and pinks, superimposed with the leaves of the fig tree (a recurring symbol in the artists' recent work.)
