Solo Show at WappART Gauging Square London: June 12th- 20th August 2023

An exhibition of thirteen large paintings on canvas. The work ranges from Series ‘Linda’ [2019-2021], ‘Binary’ [2019-2021], ‘Collection23’ [2023-present] and ‘Sw16’ [2022-present].

Coyle produces strong imagery influenced by carefully selected current print media images, starting with preliminary drawing and continuing through to painting. Coyle’s work is driven by three main aspects: colour, linework and composition. Through her contemporary figurative style of painting, she mirrors the present and reflects on past art movements. Coyle’s paintings are particularly influenced by early American Pop Art with a want to forward and contemporise current Pop Art. Her paintings have no wish to look nostalgic but to look new and of their time. Coyle is also interested in themes such as minimalism and abstraction.

Coyle [Dublin, Ireland 1981] has been progressing her paintings for over 20 years, firstly driven by an influence from America Pop art of the 1960’s. She has been based in London since 2006. Represented by the Helwaser gallery on Madison Avenue in New York . Coyle is a recipient of International Art Market’s Gold List award. ‘Top international contemporary artist of today', ‘Recommended artist to invest in and to be inspired by’, with work acquired by past Tate Museum Trustee Dame Janet Wolfson de Botton.
