The historic Greyhound bus station is a prime example of Art Moderne: this blue period bus station is one of only 3 remaining in the United States. And I'm glad Indiana Landmarks intervened to save this treasure.
The photograph for the dress print was actually taken when the building was still boarded up, before the rescue. It didn't matter, I saw its beauty which reminded me of the outlines on a big steamer ship. Yvonne styles this dress so well at her class reunion.
This pattern was also printed on a silk scarf and received the attention of Indiana Landmark's Executive Vice President, Tina Connor, who invited me to do a solo show at their Rapp Family Gallery in Indianapolis.
