Our studio in India was a low one story white building set in a beautiful garden. It was situated across the main road and at the far edge of the village. Prakash was one of our permanent support team. He was a natural gardener and had planned and sown the studio garden. There was fruit, vegetables and lots of marigolds. Every plant had a dual purpose. Prakash was calm, patient, a joy to know and great to be around.
He had a face that reminded me of a long ago Moghul prince. In this painting I have placed him among his plants.
