Lost in Translation is part of a new series where I am throwing everything at it. Applying the paint in so many ways, with a brush, throwing it, printing it, scraping into it, just having at it. It also is created using receipts and papers from our recent trip to Japan. I don't speak Japanese, so I felt lost quite often in trying to translate. That said, it was so fun, and I hope this painting portrays both the feeling of having the world thrown at you and not undertstanding but making the best of it....
